Adjust cutting and anvil blade alignment when cut is no longer clean. If cutting takes more effort you may need to sharpen the blade.
Clean blade after each day of pruning. The spring and the space between the blade and anvil blade should be oiled after cleaning. To sharpen blade hold the pruning shear flat in the left hand. Sharpen the blade using a sharpening stone with a beveling edge of 23° degrees. Turn the pruning shear over to remove burring from the blade. To do this set the ceramic stone to a sharpening angle of 5° degrees.
For medium to light pruning up to ¾”.
