Cut rough-in opening in wall for appropriate size shutter fan - 12-1/2" x 12-1/2".
Place fan in opening.
Drill holes through the frame face at desired locations.
Fasten fan in opening using appropriate fasteners. (Not furnished)
Wiring should be done by a licensed electrician - refer to local electrical codes.
Motorized Intake Shutter Information:
This exterior PVC grade plastic shutter is made to tightly close, minimizing draft and heat lost. Made to withstand the weather; will not rust. Aerodynamic vanes on nylon bearings never need lubrication, are pre-installed along with a 120V shutter motor in an aluminum housing.

Waterproof Thermostat Information:
The moisture proof case offers rugged, weatherproof protection from the wet greenhouse environment. The stainless steel external temperature sensor is quick to sense and respond to temperature changes. Large temperature dial is easy to read and set. Range from 40° F to 100° F. Rated at 16 amps, 1500 watts, and 120 volts.

Safety Information:
Be certain that the electrical load to be controlled does not exceed the thermostat rating.
Disconnect all power before installing or servicing.
Installation must be made by a trained, experienced service person.
This thermostat is intended for permanent installation and must be installed in accordance with the Nation Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes and ordinances. Use copper wire only, insulate or wire nut all unused leads.
This thermostat is suitable for NEMA 4X application and is NOT to be used in potentially flammable or explosive atmospheres.
In cases in which property damage may result from malfunction of the thermostat a backup system should be used. Where critical or high value products are to be maintained, an approved temperature limit should be wired in series with this thermostat. In less critical applications, a second thermostat with alarm contacts can be used to provide redundancy.
A separate S.P.D.T. load switch (not supplied) must be used in applications requiring control of both heat and cooling. Failure to provide the load transfer switch could result in control failure and equipment damage.
The Greenhouse thermostat is designed to prevent entry of water or dust inside the enclosure. If the cover is missing or the enclosure is cracked or broken do not install, use or operate as this could result in personal injury and or property damage.
Maintenance:
Check all connections for un-insulated or exposed wires. Check stainless steel thermostat for damage each year. Common Recommendations:
To control temperatures by regulating automated exhaust fan systems and 120 V heaters.

A qualified electrician should install this unit. Instructions are very complete. This is a no switch (NS) model with two-wire control.
Assembly:
Cover plate is mounted last so that the speed control minimum setting may be adjusted after the unit is wired and live.
